Doug Jones

With more than 30 years of mining industry experience, Doug Jones has held a variety of leading operations and mining consulting roles in the United States, Asia (including Indonesia), South America, Mexico, and Europe, bringing extensive experience of copper and gold mining operations and projects with underground and surface mining, mill operations and heap leach operations.

Recently, he worked at Alio Gold and was responsible for project completion and start-up bringing the Florida Canyon mine to full production before completing the integration of the Rye Patch Gold US and Alio Gold Mexico assets following a merger. Previously he served as Senior Vice President of Eldorado Gold Corporation, a mid-tier gold mining company producing 700,000 ounces per year from 7 mines in with 5 developing projects in Turkey, China, Greece, Brazil, and Romania, VP and GM of Kettle River Operations for Kinross Gold USA and various roles for Stillwater Mining Company, Newmont Mining Corporation, Freeport Indonesia and MolyCorp Unocal Molybdenum.

He graduated from Colorado School of Mines in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering and obtained his graduate course from Stanford University in Corporate Finance for Executives in 2008.
